01 / What is handled

A little information, for play.

PEEKLUME does not require personal information to play. The app saves a small amount of game state and your comfort choices in private app storage on your device. It does not send those records to the publisher.

ProgressOn your deviceRemember puzzle attempts, current sessions, discoveries, points and badges.
Comfort choicesOn your deviceRemember sound, haptics, reduced motion, description selection and Flat View preferences.
Local calendar dateRead from your deviceSelect the daily puzzle. The date is not sent to PEEKLUME.

The app does not ask for your name, email, account credentials, precise location, contacts, photos, payment details or microphone recordings. Current configuration requests Android audio-settings access for playback controls; it does not record audio. Final signed-app permissions still need release verification.

02 / Why it is used

To keep your place.

The app reads and updates its local save so a puzzle can resume, your collection can reflect what you have found, and your preferences can shape sound, motion and accessible ways to explore. There is no remote profile, recommendation system or advertising purpose.

Artwork, fonts, puzzles and sound are bundled with the app. Normal gameplay does not need an internet connection.

03 / Where information goes

No progress is sent out by the app.

PEEKLUME does not sell, rent or share gameplay records with the publisher or third parties. The app has no advertising, analytics, attribution or tracking service. These are the limited situations where another organization may handle information around your use:

A

Fact-source websites

If you choose Read the source after a reveal, your browser opens that source. The website operator may receive ordinary request details such as your IP address, browser/device information, requested page and request time, and may use cookies under its own policy. PEEKLUME does not add puzzle progress or an account ID to the link.

You choose
B

Apple, Google or your device-backup provider

Your operating system may back up or restore app data if you enable that feature. The platform provider handles backup data under its own terms and privacy controls. PEEKLUME does not operate that backup or receive a copy.

Platform
C

Netlify, for this policy page only

When this site is deployed on Netlify, Netlify may process technical request and security logs, which can include an IP address, browser information, requested URL and timestamp. That is website hosting, not data sent by the PEEKLUME app. This page has no analytics, advertising, embedded third-party content or contact form.

Website host

If a support email or another web service is added later, this policy must be updated to identify what it receives, why, and how long it is kept.

04 / Your choices

Reset, whenever you like.

  • Erase app progress: In Settings, choose Reset discoveries and confirm. This removes attempts, sessions, discoveries, points and badges stored by the app. Comfort preferences remain.
  • Remove app data: Uninstalling normally removes the app's local storage. Device backups may restore it later if you have backups enabled; manage those with your platform provider.
  • Choose whether to open a source: Fact links are optional. If opened, the destination website's privacy policy applies to its request.
  • Set comfort preferences: Sound, haptics, reduced motion, description selection and Flat View can be changed in Settings.

There is no publisher-held gameplay record to request or delete. PEEKLUME has no in-app support form or account deletion flow.

05 / Safety and age

Built for a general audience.

PEEKLUME is a general-audience puzzle app, designed primarily for people 13 and older. It has no account or user-submission features and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app does not request camera, microphone, contacts, photo-library, location or notification access for gameplay. Store age ratings are determined separately through each platform's review.

Keeping local data safe

Progress is kept in the app's private storage and protected by the device's operating-system security. No internet transmission is perfectly risk-free. Protect your device and review your backup settings. The final iOS and Android binaries and their permissions must be audited before this policy is treated as final.

06 / A separate service

This page is not the app.

The privacy policy website is a static page. It uses locally hosted fonts and artwork and does not set analytics or advertising cookies. When deployed, its web host processes the connection data needed to serve and protect the page. Visiting this page does not give the website access to your PEEKLUME progress.

For details about hosting data, see Netlify's privacy notice. This link opens Netlify's website.
